Mozambique
Day 288 17/10
Bamboozi Beach Resort, Praia doTofo
27 249 miles
Its been a quick whiz through Mozambique as we figure we'll be able to holiday here in the future. The northern part of Mozambique, north of the Beira - Mutare road, is still very undeveloped with fuel being hard to come by, small villages and not many people aboout. The southern coastline is developing into a tourist hotspot with lots of fancy lodges and guesthouses about. Luckily it's a long, long coastline so it still feels undeveloped with long, deserted, sandy beaches and plenty of diving and snorkelling oportunities. We stopped at the Gorongosa game reserve which has a really good campsite and, although not much game at the moment, they are in the process of restocking. Otherwise we stopped a t a couple of beach resorts and went snorkelling on the Bazarouto Archipelago - a great reef and you get a good amount of time out on the reef.
