Latest newsUpdate 02/12/07Home We've made it!! We arrived at the Dale all in one piece late on Friday night. The Landy needs a little TLC and a lot of cleaning but otherwise all is well. For those of you planning a similar trip here are some stats and equipment reviews. For anyone wanting to import their vehicle to South Africa here is my experience. About UsWe are a married couple who love independant travel off the beaten track. We have done a backpacking trip to South East Asia and through East and Southern Africa. We are moving to South Africa and so we decided to take the long, slow way and drive ourselves home. Campbell is a Scotsman, who's been convinced that Africa is the place to be and Linnéa is a Durbanite who's had enough of the UK. We are really looking forward to having the freedom of our own vehicle with which to explore the wilds of Africa before settling into our new life in South Africa. We are collating as much information as possible on our preparations and during our trip to post on the web to help others to plan a similar trip. We hope it will be of use. |
